Palworld Damage Calculator

Every Pal's base damage, element bonus, attack cadence and effective DPS. Eidrolon's cycling elemental core and Jetragon's dragon multiplier both flow through the same formula: DPS = Attack × Element Bonus × Attack Speed. Pick a boss target to apply its weakness and resistance multipliers and estimate a solo time-to-kill.

How is Palworld damage calculated?

A Pal's output in Palworld is base attack multiplied by its element bonus and its attack cadence, giving effective DPS; the element matchup then multiplies the hit again — roughly 1.5x into a weakness and 0.5x into a resistance — before passive skills, condenser rank and the world damage multiplier are applied. Because a weakness multiplier outweighs raw attack, the best Pal for a fight depends on the target rather than on a fixed ranking, so the answer is always per-boss.

Formula reference: Effective DPS approximates a Pal's sustained damage against a neutral target. Actual raid damage varies with saddle weapon, passives (Ferocious, Musclehead, Legendary), element matchup and cooldowns. Use this chart to rank base scaling — cross-reference with the Element Chart for matchup multipliers.

Palworld damage from Pals multiplier explained

Damage from Pals is a separate multiplier from your own weapon damage: it scales the damage your active Pal deals, stacks multiplicatively with element matchup and passive skills, and is the single biggest lever on raid time-to-kill.

What does the damage from Pals multiplier do in Palworld?

It multiplies the damage your Pals deal, leaving player weapon damage untouched. On a server or in world settings it is a slider; in normal play it is raised by passives, condensation star ranking and element advantage. Because it multiplies rather than adds, a 1.5x Pal damage setting on top of a 2x element advantage produces 3x, not 2.5x.

How do I calculate Palworld Pal damage?

Start from the Pal's base attack, apply the element multiplier against the target, then apply passive skill multipliers (Ferocious, Musclehead, Legendary), then condensation and star rank, then the Pal damage world setting. The calculator on this page runs that chain for every Pal so you can compare effective DPS and boss time-to-kill directly.

What is the best Pal damage multiplier setting?

For a normal solo world 1.0 keeps boss fights meaningful; 2.0 to 3.0 is the common co-op setting because boss HP scales with player count. Raising Pal damage does not raise incoming damage, so it shortens raids without making them safer for you.

Does element advantage stack with the Pal damage multiplier?

Yes, and multiplicatively. Element advantage is applied per hit against the target's element, then the world multiplier applies to the result — which is why matching element to boss is worth more than any single passive skill.

Palworld damage & DPS FAQ

How is Palworld DPS calculated?

Effective DPS = Attack x Element Bonus x Attack Speed. The Attack stat comes from the Pal's base profile, the element bonus reflects same-element damage scaling, and attack speed is the Pal's attack cadence per second.

Which Pal has the highest base attack in Palworld?

Sort this chart by Base Attack: the legendary tier — Jetragon, Necromus, Paladius, Frostallion and Eidrolon — sits at the top, well above any non-legendary Pal.

Does element matchup change how much damage a Pal deals?

Yes. On top of the same-element bonus in this chart, attacking a weak element deals roughly 1.5x damage while hitting a resistant element deals about 0.5x. Check the Element Chart for every matchup.

Do passive skills increase Pal damage?

Yes. Musclehead adds about 30% attack, Ferocious about 20% and Legend adds attack and defense to legendary Pals, and these stack multiplicatively on top of the base DPS shown here.

Is Attack or Attack Speed more important for a combat Pal?

Attack matters more for burst against bosses with long openings, while attack speed wins in sustained fights and against many small enemies. The DPS column already combines both, so sort by DPS for overall ranking.

How do you calculate damage against a Palworld boss?

Pick a boss target in the calculator: the chart then multiplies each Pal's DPS by 1.5x if its element is the boss weakness, 0.5x if the boss resists it, and divides the boss health pool by that DPS to estimate a solo time-to-kill.
