Comparison — cost vs heal
Low Grade: 2 Berries + 2 Horns → 100 HP. Strange Juice: 5 Berries + 2 Bones → work buff, no heal. High Grade: 2 Ingots + 5 Horns + 2 Bones → 250 HP + cures Weakness. Mega: 5 Ingots + 3 Bones + 3 Pal Fluids → full heal + revive. Cost-per-HP is lowest on Low Grade, highest on Mega — but Mega is the only revive item in the game.
Comparison — status cures
Suppressant Pills cure Weakness (5 Horns + 1 Ingot). Antidote cures Poison (3 Bones + 2 Red Berries). Fever Medicine cures Hot/Cold (5 Ice Organ or Flame Organ + 2 Ingots). Sanity Meds restore 40 SAN (see the sanity recovery guide).
Comparison — best crafter Pal
Lyleen (S-tier, all recipes). Lyleen Noct (S-tier, +20% night speed). Petallia (A-tier, cheap early). Katress (B-tier, situational). Do not assign Handiwork Pals — they cannot craft medicine.
Recommendation by playstyle
Solo explorer: stack 20 Low Grade + 5 High Grade. Raid party: 10 Mega + 15 Sanity Meds + 10 Suppressant Pills. Base defender: 30 Strange Juice + 20 High Grade so workers self-heal during raids.
