Ancient parts and crafting materials
Ancient recipes need ancient civilisation parts and cores, which drop from the same bosses that award the points, so a single boss loop supplies both halves of the unlock.

Where parts drop
Alpha and tower bosses, plus certain chests and encounters. Farming points and farming parts are the same activity.
Budgeting parts
List the recipes you intend to craft, total the parts, and check your stock before spending points. Points are cheap next to parts for some tiers.
Storage discipline
Keep ancient materials in one dedicated chest at your main crafting base. Scattering them across bases is how crafting sessions stall.
Do not sell them
Ancient materials are worth far more as crafting input than as merchant currency, especially before your loop is fast.
Group farming
On a server, splitting a boss loop between players and pooling parts clears an ancient tier far faster than farming solo.
