Fixing common server join errors
Most Palworld connection failures come down to four causes: version mismatch, closed port, wrong address format, or a full or still-loading server.
Updated for the current Palworld patch
- ✓Version mismatch
- ✓Port not reachable
- ✓Address format
- ✓Server still loading
Version mismatch
Update the server and every client to the same build. A mismatched client typically fails without a clear error message.
Port not reachable
Test the UDP port from outside your network. If it is closed, revisit the router forward rule and any host firewall.
Address format
Enter the address and port exactly as the join field expects. Missing the port is a frequent cause of an instant failure.
Server still loading
A large world takes time to load after a restart. Wait until the server log reports the world is ready before connecting.
Password and slot issues
Confirm the join password and the player cap. A silent rejection can simply mean the server is full.
