Performance settings by platform
Palworld's biggest performance drain is base density, not view distance. Trim object counts first, then shadows and foliage, before touching resolution.
Updated for the current Palworld patch
- ✓PC quick wins
- ✓Console quick wins
- ✓Base design for frames
- ✓Server-side gains
PC quick wins
Cap the framerate slightly under your monitor's refresh, lower shadow quality, reduce foliage density and disable motion blur. Then split large bases into two smaller ones.
Console quick wins
Use the performance display mode where offered, keep decorative objects modest and avoid stacking dozens of production stations in one build.
Base design for frames
Group workbenches by production chain, keep pathing short and avoid deep multi-floor towers full of assigned Pals. Pathing cost is what stutters a base.
Server-side gains
A dedicated server offloads world simulation from your play machine, which is often the single largest improvement for a co-op group.
When it is not your settings
Post-patch stutter is common on release day. Check the official patch notes before rebuilding your graphics config.
