How to build the best Palworld team

The best Palworld team fills five party slots with one main damage Pal, one off-element attacker, one fast flying mount, one gatherer and one tank, because that spread covers combat, travel and loot without a trip back to base.

Start from roles, not rarity

A Legendary Pal with a bad work suitability is worse than a Common that finishes your production line. Assign a job to each of the five slots first, then pick the highest-rated Pal available for that job in the team builder.

Cover at least three elements

Every boss and most Alphas resist one element. Three distinct elements across five slots guarantees you always have a neutral or advantaged attacker without re-rolling your party.

Always carry a mount

One slot should be a mount with a ride speed near the top of the roster. Travel time dominates a play session more than damage does.

Condense before you level

Four-star condensing raises stats more than ten levels. Condense your two carries before you take the squad into towers.

Check the squad, not the Pal

Use the team builder's coverage report: it shows average PvE, PvP, base and mount scores plus element and work coverage for the exact five Pals you selected.
