How to fight a wild Panthalus
Open from behind for the backstab multiplier, keep its Volt Cannon, Earth Fissure, Draconic Rage, Earth Fissure on cooldown by circling, and use the /damage calculator to confirm your weapon clears its 261 DEF before you commit ammo.
