The Bow is Palworld's first ranged weapon and the go-to catcher for the entire early game — it triggers headshot multipliers, doesn't spook Pals from range, and consumes cheap Wooden Arrows.

Unlock and recipe
Unlocks at Level 8 for 1 Tech point. Crafted at the Workbench with 5 Wood and 5 Fiber. Wooden Arrows cost 1 Wood and 1 Stone each.
Base stats
Damage 15 per arrow (30 headshot), effective range ~35m, no reload delay between draws. Uses Wooden Arrows by default.
Best use
Pull mobs from ridges, aim for the head to trigger the ×2 crit, then close for the Pal Sphere throw. Excellent against Foxparks, Vixy and Rushoar.
Ammo upgrades
Craft Fire Arrows at Level 12 (+5 fire damage, ideal vs Grass Pals) and Poison Arrows at Level 20. Keep 30 Wooden + 20 elemental at all times.
