Best coal farming base locations in Palworld
Coal fuels every Refined Ingot, Carbon Fiber and Legendary weapon recipe in Palworld 1.0. These three coordinates sit on the densest coal-node clusters in the game and are the fastest way to stockpile coal for endgame gear.

- ✓Coal Cluster 2 — Volcano north crater (200, -540)

Coal Cluster 1 — Mount Obsidian west face (-260, -510)
Five coal nodes in a heat-safe pocket just above the lava rivers. Best late-game coal base once you have Heat-Resistant Pal Metal Armor.
Coal Cluster 2 — Volcano north crater (200, -540)
Four coal nodes plus two ore nodes. Slightly harder to defend from Alpha Blazamut patrols but doubles as an ore side-farm.
Coal Cluster 3 — Sealed Realm of the Swordmaster ridge (-350, -450)
Three coal nodes with the highest node-density-per-Palbox-radius on the map. Cold biome — bring Foxparks or Arsox for warmth.
Recommended coal Pals
Digtoise stays the top swing-per-second miner. Astegon (Mining 4) is the endgame king — best coal Pal in the game, but requires level 47. Blazamut (Mining 3 + Kindling 4) doubles for the Furnace loop right next to the base.
Yield per hour
A 2-Astegon + 1-Digtoise loadout on Cluster 1 clears the five coal nodes every 6 minutes, netting roughly 250 coal per real-time hour.
