Building your own combo shortlist

A full chart of every pair is unreadable in play. A shortlist of the pairs you can actually make is what saves time.

Updated for the current Palworld patch

Key takeaways
  • Start from what you own
  • Note gender
  • Name your donors
  • Re-verify after patches

Start from what you own

List the Pals in your Palbox, then check which strong children they can reach. This avoids chains that need Pals you have not caught.

Note gender

Every pair needs one male and one female. Record gender on the shortlist, since that is the usual reason a planned pair cannot be placed.

Name your donors

Rename passive donors after their stack so a shortlist entry tells you the passives without opening each Pal.

Re-verify after patches

New Pals shift the breed-power ladder, so re-check the shortlist in the Pal Stars calculator at /breeding after each major update.
