A parallel is the same card with a different finish and a different code suffix. Chase cards are the small set of prints — usually top-rarity or alternate art — that carry most of a set's market value.

Parallel treatments
Foiling, texturing and alternate framing produce a separate collectible from the same base card, with its own pull rate and price.

Alternate-art prints replace the illustration entirely and are typically the most sought-after entries in a set.
