Set prefixes and product lines

Prefixes separate booster sets, trial decks, promos and soul prints. Learning four or five prefixes makes any listing instantly readable.

Updated for the current Palworld patch

Key takeaways
  • Booster prefixes
  • Trial deck prefixes
  • Promo prefixes
  • Soul prefixes

Booster prefixes

Booster sets carry sequential set numbers, so the prefix tells you which booster wave a card came from.

Trial deck prefixes

Trial deck cards are numbered within their deck. Some appear only in the deck and never in boosters, which quietly makes them scarce.

Promo prefixes

Promotional cards, including not-for-sale prototype and demo prints, use promo prefixes and are never pack-pulled.

Soul prefixes

Soul cards use their own line and follow different deck-building constraints, so they are worth learning separately.

Cross-checking

Compare any code against the official card list before buying. A prefix that does not exist there is a red flag for an unlicensed print.
