Why bands matter

Palworld does not scale enemies to you. A level 50 alpha in Feybreak hits a level 35 player for most of their health bar per swing, so gear and level gates are real gates.

Skipping ahead safely

You can loot ahead of your level if you fly, glide and never land. Chest and effigy runs are viable ten levels early; fights are not.

Gear per band

Grade-1 armour to level 20, Grade-2 to 35, Grade-3 to 50, and Pal Metal or better for Feybreak. Match cold and heat resistance to the region rather than the level.

Boss checkpoints

Treat each Syndicate Tower as the exit exam for its band — if the tower is comfortable, the next region is safe.
