Always carry two tiers
Carry Mega Spheres for tough targets and the tier below for trash catches. Using the top sphere on a level 5 Lamball is pure material waste.
Catch bonus Pals
Catching ten of the same species awards permanent capture-power bonuses and Lifmunk Effigies raise your global catch rate — 60+ effigies is worth more than one sphere tier.
Build a sphere line

Don't overkill
Damage above the kill threshold destroys the drop. Swap to a Wooden Club or an unmodified bow for the final hits on a rare Pal.
Night hunting
Nocturnal Pals only spawn after dark and many are much easier to catch while they idle. Bring a lamp and a Legendary-tier sphere for the Alpha variants that patrol at night.
