Legality basics
Promo printings are legal in constructed play because they carry the same name, cost and text as their standard counterparts. The PR stamp is a distribution mark, not a format restriction.
The copy limit
Four copies of a card name per deck, counting every printing together. Four EPR-001 Lamball plus a booster Lamball of the same name would be five copies and an illegal deck.
Sleeve and marking rules
Promo foiling can look distinct from the back-side card stock in a mixed deck. Judges expect opaque, uniform sleeves so promo cards cannot be identified face-down.
Unique promo text
Where a promo carries text that no booster version has — as EPR-001 does with its ◇4 attack immunity — it functions as its own card name for the copy limit, so read the printed name carefully before deck-listing.
