How Soul cards work in the Palworld card game

Soul cards form your resource row: you set them aside from the main deck, stand them each turn to pay Pal and Gear costs, and rest them to trigger effects such as drawing a card.

Souls are a separate zone

Soul cards live in their own area rather than your main deck, so they do not count toward the main-deck size and are never drawn as normal cards.

Paying costs

Each turn your Souls stand back up. Standing Souls are rested to pay the ◇ cost printed on Pals, Gear, Structures and Events — this is the game's mana economy.

The draw ability

The printed Soul text lets you rest 3 Souls once during your main phase to draw 1 card, giving a slow but reliable way to convert unused resources into cards.

Promo Souls are functionally identical

ESOUL-000, ESOUL-002 and ESOUL-003 all behave like ESOUL-001 in play. Choosing a promo Soul is a bling decision, not a power decision.

Practising the economy

Run the sequencing in the Pal Stars /tcg-simulator against the bot before an event — mis-timing the rest-3-to-draw is the most common new-player Soul mistake.
