Why Faleris feels late for a mid-game flyer

Faleris is usually caught or bred long before its saddle exists, because the saddle sits at Technology level 60 rather than beside the Pal. Until then Faleris is a party member, not a mount, so most players ride Nitewing or Ragnahawk while banking Technology Points for the level 60 unlock. The craft is cheap on metal but needs Hexolite, which means Feybreak Chromite first.

  • Hexolite x5 is the real gate — farm Chromite and Hexolite Quartz before level 60.
  • Flame Organ x25 comes fastest from Foxparks and Rooby farming loops.
  • Craft at a Pal Gear Workbench or Ancient Workbench, not a normal workbench.

Two ladders, two currencies

Palworld splits unlocks between Technology Points, earned every level, and Ancient Technology Points, dropped only by tower and raid bosses. Saddles appear on both ladders, which is why a level 49 Ancient saddle can be available before a level 60 regular one. Plan Ancient points around the Pal Gear Workbench first, since no legendary saddle can be crafted without it.

  • Regular points refund freely, so mis-spending is recoverable.
  • Ancient points are finite per boss clear — bench before saddle.
  • Legendary saddles double as weapons, so they change combat, not just travel.

Pick the mount before you spend the points

Speed differences between mounts are large enough that the wrong unlock wastes hours of traversal. Our mount speed table lists ride speed, stamina behaviour and biome comfort for every rideable Pal, so you can compare Faleris against Jetragon and Frostallion before committing points, and the technology tree pages list each unlock's level and cost individually.

  • Compare ride speeds on the mount table rather than by feel.
  • Passives such as Swift and Runner stack with saddle speed.
  • Condensed star ranks raise saddle weapon damage on legendaries.

Level 60 in the regular Technology tree, for 3 Technology Points. It is crafted at a Pal Gear Workbench from Leather x30, High Quality Cloth x10, Hexolite x5, Flame Organ x25 and Paldium Fragment x30.

What level is the Jetragon Saddle in Palworld?

Do you need the Pal Gear Workbench for saddles?

For legendary saddles, yes. Jetragon, Frostallion, Necromus and Paladius saddles all require the Pal Gear Workbench, unlocked at Ancient level 48 for 4 Ancient Technology Points.

Why can I ride Faleris on a friend's server but not mine?

Saddles are per-player technology unlocks. If a host has the Faleris Saddle unlocked and crafts one for you, you can equip and ride it before reaching level 60 yourself.
