How many duplicate Pals each star rank costs
Star-ranking one Pal to 4 stars costs 1 + 2 + 4 + 8 duplicates, meaning 15 extra copies of the same species on top of the Pal you are upgrading — 16 Pals in total for a maxed 4-star.

What star ranks actually do to Pal stats
Each condenser star adds roughly 5% Attack and 5% Defense to a Pal, so a 4-star Pal hits about 20% harder and takes about 20% less damage than an identical unranked Pal — the effect stacks multiplicatively with Souls and passive skills.

Fastest way to farm condenser fodder
The fastest condenser fodder in Palworld is same-species breeding: pairing two of the same Pal always produces that species, so a farm of ten breeding pens with a cake automation loop generates 15 duplicates far quicker than field capturing.

Pal Essence Condenser FAQ
Condensing is permanent, cannot be undone or refunded, and consumes the duplicate Pals entirely — always condense into the copy with the best passive skills, because that is the Pal that survives the process.
