How to invite a cross-platform friend
Cross-platform invites work best through an invite code or a direct server address rather than a platform friends list, because the friends list only sees accounts on that same store.
Updated for the current Palworld patch
- ✓Use the in-game invite code
- ✓Direct IP or address joins
- ✓Password-protect the world
- ✓Voice chat
Use the in-game invite code
The host opens the multiplayer menu and shares the generated code. The joining player pastes it into the join field. This path ignores store friend lists entirely, which is why it works across platforms.
Direct IP or address joins
For a dedicated server, share the address and port. Players on supported platforms enter it in the join-by-address field. Keep the port forwarded or use a hosted provider.
Password-protect the world
Set a server password so a shared code cannot be reused by strangers. Rotate it if the code was posted publicly.
Voice chat
Palworld has no full in-game voice system to rely on for mixed platforms. Use an external voice app so PC and console players hear the same channel.
Troubleshooting a failed join
Check build versions match, confirm the host is actually in the world rather than the main menu, disable restrictive NAT settings, and retry the code — expired codes are a frequent cause of a silent failure.
