5 Paldium Fragment, 10 Wood, 5 Ingot, 3 Cement, at a workbench once you unlock it at Technology level 22.
What level Pals can a Giga Sphere catch?
Pals up to about level 30. Higher-level targets are still catchable if you drop them to red health and apply a status effect first.
Is the Giga Sphere worth the materials?
Yes for targets inside its band or for anything rare. For common low-level Pals, one tier down costs far less and catches just as reliably.
Does throwing from behind help?
Yes — a back throw adds a hidden bonus on top of the sphere multiplier, and it stacks with sleep and low health.
