Palworld TCG rules explained — the 2026 update in full

The Palworld OFFICIAL CARD GAME is a two-player duel played with a 50-card Main Deck and a separate 10-card Soul Deck. You win by depleting your opponent's Soul Deck: each time an attack connects, they flip Souls, and a player who must flip a Soul with none left loses.

  • Card types

  • Objective

What you need to play

Exactly 50 cards in the Main Deck and exactly 10 in the Soul Deck, with a maximum of 4 copies of any card name across both decks. Trial Decks ship legal out of the box.

Card types

Pal cards battle and work, Gear cards attach to Pals or the player, Structure cards stay in play and generate value each turn, Event cards resolve once, and Soul cards live only in the Soul Deck.

The play area

Battle Area for active Pals, Base Area for Structures and working Pals, Soul Deck zone, Main Deck zone, and the Drop (discard). Card positions matter — a Pal in the Base cannot declare an attack.

Objective

Reduce the opponent's Soul Deck to zero. Souls are flipped as damage is dealt, so tempo pressure and evasion matter more than raw board size.

What changed in 2026

Bushiroad's Floor Rules were revised on July 9, 2026, tightening deck-list submission, time-extension handling and slow-play penalties at sanctioned events. Card text and comprehensive rules are unchanged by that revision.
