Use the basic Pal Sphere below Level 15, Mega Spheres to Level 25, Giga Spheres to Level 35, Hyper Spheres to Level 45, Ultra Spheres to Level 50, and Legendary Spheres for every Alpha, Lucky or Legendary target above that.

Cost versus success
Throwing a tier-appropriate sphere is always cheaper than spamming three cheap ones — Paldium is the real bottleneck, not the sphere count.
Crafting throughput
A sphere assembly line with two Handiwork 3 Pals and a Paldium node inside base radius produces roughly 60 spheres an hour.
Alpha rule
Never attempt an Alpha with anything below Hyper. Under-tier throws burn the whole respawn window.
Lucky Pals
Lucky variants share the base rate but have far more HP. Bring double the spheres and a status weapon.
Legendary Spheres
Unlocked at Level 49 and gated behind Carbon Fibre and Refined Ingots — stockpile 30 before any Legendary attempt.
