Key takeaways
  • Reading the formula
  • High-value combos worth memorising
  • Same-species farming
  • Plan pairs with the calculator

Reading the formula

Child target = floor((parent A breed power + parent B breed power + 1) / 2). The game then selects the species with the nearest breed power to that target. Small changes to one parent can shift the result by several species, so verify pairs before spending Cake.

High-value combos worth memorising

Anubis comes from Penking + Bushi. Jormuntide Ignis comes from Jormuntide + Blazamut. Faleris comes from Vanwyrm + Ragnahawk. Ragnahawk itself comes from Bushi + Foxparks, and Blazehowl from Rayhound + Incineram.

Same-species farming

Pairing two of the same species always yields that species, which is the fastest way to farm multiple copies of a Pal for the Pal Essence Condenser without hunting alphas.

Plan pairs with the calculator

Use the Pal Stars breeding calculator at /breeding to test parent pairs and reverse-lookup every parent combination that produces the Pal you want before you commit Cake to a farm.
