Cake production — the real bottleneck in Palworld breeding

Cake, not eggs, is what limits Palworld breeding. One Cake takes 5 Flour, 8 Red Berries, 7 Milk, 8 Eggs and 2 Honey, and each egg you breed burns one. A self-sustaining food base turns breeding from a chore into a background process.

The Cake recipe

Cake is crafted at a Cooking Pot from 5 Flour, 8 Red Berries, 7 Milk, 8 Eggs and 2 Honey. Flour comes from Wheat milled at a Mill, so a Wheat Plantation plus a Mill covers two ingredients at once.

Automate every ingredient

Assign two Mozzarina for Milk, two Chikipi for Eggs and two Beegarde for Honey to a Ranch; add a Berry Plantation for Red Berries and a Wheat Plantation for Flour. With Kindling and Watering Pals assigned, the whole chain runs unattended.

Keep Cake from being eaten

Pals will eat Cake from a shared Feed Box. Store Cake in a chest away from your food logistics, or set the food box priority so cooked meals are eaten first, and only move Cake into the Breeding Farm chest when a pair is active.

Throughput maths

Two Ranch cycles plus one Wheat harvest yields roughly 5–8 Cakes per in-game day, which is 5–8 breeding rolls. Running three Breeding Farms in parallel triples rolls without extra ingredient cost per egg.
