Keep your best workbenches, your crafting Pals and your material chests in one place. Split setups are why upgrades get postponed.
Crafting Pals matter
Assign Pals with strong Handiwork and work-speed passives. Craft time on high-tier gear is long enough to notice.
Stock ammo alongside gear
Craft a meaningful ammo reserve at the same time as a new firearm tier, or the upgrade sits unused.
Keep the old set
Hold the previous tier until the new one is proven in a boss fight. Losing your only weapon to a death run is avoidable.
