Where to farm schematics
Schematics drop from bosses, dungeon chests and high-level field encounters. The consistent sources are repeatable alpha bosses and dungeon runs, not open-world wandering.

Alpha bosses
Repeatable, respawning and generous. A short rotation of alphas is the standard schematic farm as well as an ancient-point farm.
Dungeons
Dungeon chests and end bosses give schematics plus materials. Clearing dungeons at or slightly above your level is the best rate.
Raids and events
The highest tiers concentrate in the hardest content. Bring a prepared team rather than attempting solo at the edge of your gear.
Level matters
Higher-level encounters bias toward higher-rarity drops, so pushing into harder content beats farming easy targets for volume.
Track what you need
Keep a short list of the two or three schematics that would actually change your loadout, and farm the sources that drop those.
